Hello Friends, Neighbors, and Community Members,
Jordan here, and I wanted to reach out to all my Katy area businesses in hopes to find some more sponsors for our upcoming event on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016.
The event on the calendar for that date is Skate Night for a Cause. Skate Night for a Cause will be held at Kingdom & Wheels from 5 PM – 8 PM. The address is 25757 Westheimer Pkwy #190, Katy, TX 77494.
Tickets are available for reservation until we run out. There will be three evening skate times: 5 – 5:45, 6 – 6:45, and 7:00 – 7:45. The event is open to children entering K through 8th grade. Families are encouraged to attend.
There will be two food trucks parked out front (Piggy Pibil & The Lucky Fig), as well as pizza available inside. There will be a photographer photographing the event and an artist painting faces.
The whole evening will be donation driven. For each reserved skate ticket, we request you bring a backpack with a note of encouragement. Backpacks can be purchased anywhere, and are available through Amazon, Target, and Walmart. If you forget to bring your backpack, a 10 cash donation will suffice, and it will be used to purchase a backpack after the event. (A second fundraiser will be held in July to collect school supplies.)
For each donated backpack, the donator will be given one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets can be obtained per each $10 cash donation. Prizes will be items and gift cards donated from local area businesses.
This is where you come in. We are seeking donations for these prizes and gift cards. We are also seeking sponsors to donate 5-10 backpacks.
If you sign up to be a sponsor by Monday evening, you will be placed on the back of the fundraiser t-shirt. If you sign up to be a sponsor you will also be placed on the sponsor page of this website, and you will later be interviewed for an upcoming podcast and blog post.
